what to do what to do

im thinking of doing either a continuation of or a prequeul to 'perks of being a wall flower'

if i was going to do a prequel it would be the story of how charlies aunty treated him and how back story of the origional came to be. My only worries are the follwing:

• It seems to be extremely serious ( i dont do serious)
• I havnt yet red the book so i feel like i wouldnt be able to do it justice
• The back story to POBW with the aunty molesting him is such a strong theme in the origional that i may be quite hard to get the series of events in line correctly.

If i was to do a continuation or a sequel, i would talk about charlies final year at high school arfter his rehab and his limited contact with his friends at college. this could be done in the form of letters back and forth from charlie to sam and patrick.

another idea would be t do a back story with the charachter brad and show what he went through during the story with his father and patrick. 

Fantastic idea, to do letters, from the friend. the friend can be dead and 'in heaven' and the letters he/she is sending back is not making it to charlie. there could be a series of 4-5 letters that are written in reply to charlie and his letters of concern. each letter expreses more concern that he is not following his advice and his letters are not making it to him.

• I am doing my fan fiction on The Great Gatsby, and Gatsby is in love with Daisy. 
• Daisy is promiscuous, causing Gatsby to become even more jealous.
• Gatsby still has his raging Saturday night parties
• Men start to go missing at his parties
• This is broadcasted on the news
• The men are linked to have been Daisy's previous lovers

Taylor's Fan Fiction Draft / Planning

Im thinking of doing my fan fix on an extension of the 90's series Freaks and Geeks.
I REALLY want to do it because I love the show and I think it was made in the wrong era :,( so it didn't get the popularity and recognition that it deserved.

Centered around 5 main characters
Lindsey
Sam
Daniel
Nick and
Kim

The end of the first season, which meant the discontinuation of the series left so many loose ends and open endings which I want to resolve.

The First Episode , aptly named pilot, develops the main characters that I will be following on my fan fic. I will be writing from Lindsay's Point of view but also swapping character POV's during the story for different perspectives and 'inner thoughts'.

I was wanting to develop the relationship between Lindsay and Daniel and then also resolve the relationship between Lindsay and Nick. I was contemplating putting in a small paragraph paying homage to Sam and Cindy and them two getting together FINALLY.

Here is an example of a 'Daniel and Lindsay' fanfiction that I found kind of interesting (although a little boring and predictable) but it's a good idea of how the Daniel and Lindsay scenario can play out.

I also found a few other fan fiction stories surrounding Freaks and Geeks that are worth a look.

The reason why I chose these 3 stories is that they all have a variety of styles and ideas surrounding Freaks and Geeks but also because they are good examples of what could be lacking in the story like characterization and context and style, where people forget that the series is set in the 80's.
